About Us
Welcome to the official website of Waimea Toi Toi United Cricket Club.
Our pitch is Jubilee Park, Richmond, Nelson. Our facilities include clubrooms, changing rooms and two outdoor nets. We also utilise the outdoor nets and grass wicket at Ben Cooper Park on West Avenue Road, and the recently completed Saxton Indoor Centre with four indoor nets at Saxton Field.
WTTU Cricket Club caters for players of all ages and our club is divided into two sections – JUNIOR and SENIOR.
The JUNIOR section plays in levels Smash Play (Ages 5-12), Primary Grade (Ages 9-11) and Intermediate Grades A & B (Ages 11-13). Each level relates to a player’s age as at the start of a season (October) although before age 9 players can choose to play up or down a grade if it suits them for social or physical reasons. As players move on to Secondary School they move into the College T25 competition.
Girls are catered for at all ages and are actively encouraged to participate. They may play in mixed teams in all Junior Grades or opt to play in a Girls Only team when available.
In the SENIOR section, we field a Premier and two 2nd Grade Teams, and two social Presidents Grade Teams.
Our Club also runs a Family Club Day Competition midseason at Jubilee Park.
With a great network of qualified coaches and experienced players we offer various options to help improve our younger players. We offer both team coaching and 1:1 coaching through the summer season. Our Junior Development Program held over the winter months also helps bond our senior and junior players into one club family.
